1571, from Fr. athéiste (16c.), from Gk. atheos "to deny the gods, godless," from a- "without" + theos "a god" (see Thea). A slightly earlier form is represented by atheonism (c.1534) which is perhaps from It. atheo "atheist."

The etymology of the word relays: "godless" or "without a god".

Yet there are those who want to reinterpret the original meaning into a more modern and comfortable setting, saying "atheist" means, "no belief in God or a god".

I do not agree with this "new term", I see it as a comfort zone. To ease the pain and emptiness the soul feels of being robbed of it's natural desire to seek TRUTH.

But I must digress, because Atheist do not believe that there is a "soul", so in their opinion, the "soul" does not seek.

I feel this is unfortunate because by this belief, one puts the finger in the leaking dam of curiosity, shutting off the messages to the mind that are sent by the soul, via the heart.

What I hope to accomplish with this blog, is to address the fact that... Denial is not just a river in Egypt... and look into Religions in general, find out what makes them tick, and see if we can't get on the same page, or at least blog.
